After a few weeks of deliberation and voting, our top games of 2007 are finally being unveiled! We're starting with titles that garnered honorable mentions; these nominees received a significant amount of votes but fell just short of making the cut. Come back tomorrow for the top handheld titles, which will then be followed by the top console/PC offerings. Once that's out of the way, we'll start the countdown of the top 20 titles, including what WP considers to be the best game of 2007. Read more for the results!

The fourth title in the Metal Slug series joins the Xbox Live Arcade library as Metal Slug 3 arrives this Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 9:00 a.m. GMT (2:00 a.m. PST). An update of the original arcade version, Metal Slug 3 is a run-and-gun video game updated with HD graphics and now features co-op multiplayer over Xbox Live.
