Electronic Arts, today announced that it will release a special limited edition DVD for the highly anticipated The Sims 2. The game is the next generation sequel of The Sims, the best selling PC game of all time and will be in stores by September 17th.

Combining the best elements of simulation and arcade-style play, Juiced will feature more than 50 licensed vehicles; real-time modding with hundreds of authentic aftermarket parts; realistic car physics and damage; and online head-to-head play, including for the first time ever, "crew based" team racing. Video game veterans, Morten Brodersen, Johnni Christensen and Phillip Tavel have pooled their many years of experience in creating multimillion unit-selling franchises, and formed the new video game development house, Third Wave Games. The company's first game introduction will be War World, a mech-on-mech online combat game for the PC that will be available this fall.

The Leisure Suit Larry videogame franchise began in 1987 with The Land of the Lounge Lizards, the first of seven games in the series. Since then, the Leisure Suit Larry games have sold more than 35 millions of units worldwide, and its games are considered collector items. Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude is scheduled for release on next-generation consoles and the PC in late 2004.

Ubisoft today announced that it is developing a videogame based on the blockbuster Star Wars Trilogy for the Game Boy Advance in cooperation with LucasArts. Microsoft today announced that it will publish the Xbox version of Outrun2 in North America, due to ship to retail stores this October. OutRun2 is the sequel to the famous game that made its first appearance in arcades across the world 17 years ago.
