Terminal Reality has announced major technological updates to its popular Infernal Engine. Used to power Ghostbusters: The Video Game, the Infernal Engine will now support Intel's New CPU, the Core i7 980X, as well as benefit from significant renovations to their animation system and notable lighting system improvements.

LEGO Systems and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group announced a worldwide license agreement for TT Games Publishing to continue developing the highly successful LEGO videogames across multiple platforms.

Rage of the Gladiator is a first person fantasy fighting game where you control a gladiator, fighting for your life in an arena. Armed with your magical warhammer and a trusty shield, you must defeat fantastic bosses including a Chimera, Beholder, and a Dragon.

Forsaken World, previously know as Project EM or PEM, is an all new 3D fantasy MMORPG that breaks new ground by bringing together the best of eastern and western cultures to offering an entirely new interactive entertainment experience to players.

Avernum VI, the final game in the series, is set in the world of Avernum, an enormous series of caves far below the surface of the world. Travel into the strange subterranean land of Avernum, full of dungeons, labyrinths, and constant warfare.

Playlogic Entertainment has signed a worldwide digital distribution agreement with online distribution platform GameStreamer, and agreement will see Playlogic’s entire back catalogue available through GameStreamer’s digital network. 

That Infinity Ward story sure is weird, isn't it? I'm curious what sort of breach of contract and insubordination led to the firing of executives who just delivered the best-selling game ever, right before they were supposedly to be paid their royalties. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of that story.

This is turning out to quite an excellent week for gamers. Bad Company 2, Supreme Commander 2, a few MLB titles, and even the Alice in Wonderland game look exciting. I'm mostly interested in the first two, and while I already have SC2, I have yet to check it out. Better get to it before the next batch of titles ships ....
