The writing was already on the wall earlier this year when UK based publisher/developer Oxygen Games sold off all its internal development studios, as it has fallen into administration (Chapter 11) according to MCV. In 2007 Oxygen opened a North American branch, so it is not certain yet if the Northern California office will be affected as well. Oxygen Games is best known for titles such as PDC World Championship Darts, Chronos Twins, and various other budget titles.

With Resistance 2 having been released about a year ago and Insomniac just wrapping up development on Ratchet & Clank, it seems its next project has already been revealed. Spotted on a billboard in Shreveport, Louisiana, was an advertisement for Resistance 3, showing little information apart from a Statue of Liberty and the Empire State building in the logo, indicating the game might be set in New York. It is said to be part of the "Battle: Los Angeles" movie being filmed in Shreveport by Sony-owned Columbia Pictures (starring Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez), which is scheduled for release in Feb. 2011.
