Nearly 10% of American Youths Are Addicted to Games

A new study by Iowa State University researcher Douglas Gentile revealed that 8.5% of American youths between ages 8 to 18 who play video games show multiple signs of behavioral addiction, skimp on homework, lie about how much they play, steal games or money to play more, and struggle, without success, when they try to cut back.

Scratch DJ Game Gets Restraining Order, Court Wants Source Code Returned

Last week Scratch DJ Game filed suit against Activision and 7 Studios, alleging that they had engaged in intentional interference with contract, breach of contract, conversion and misappropriation of trade secrets. Activision then issued a statement that the L.A. Superior Court found that there was no evidence of any wrongdoing, but today Scratch DJ Game claims the L.A. County Superior Court has granted it a temporary restraining order and ordered 7 Studios to turn over all source code, tools and technology related to Scratch: The Ultimate DJ game.

XSEED Drops 'Muramasa: The Demon Blade' (Wii)

Marvelous Entertainment's Muramasa: The Demon Blade (known in Japan as “Oboro Muramasa Youtouden”) is a unique, highly stylized action RPG, is currently in development, but its North American publisher, XSEED, confirmed it will no longer be publishing the game.
