Codename: Panzers, Phase Two will bring armchair generals to the war-torn battlefields of Africa, Southern Europe and the Balkans where they will fight as the Anglo-American Allies, the German-Italian Axis or the Yugoslavian resistance. A complement of heroes, both new and familiar, will be the players' alter egos in dozens of new missions as they attempt to lead their troops to victory.

Microsoft Sues Online Retail Stores For Selling Pirated Software

Microsoft has sued four online retailers in California and Virginia for selling pirated software after having received complaints from consumers and businesses who had purchased software from those outlets.

The Worms series recently diversified with Worms Forts Under Siege, a tactical RTS-like spin-off created for Sega. However, Worms 4: Mayhem is a return to the series' trademark gameplay and sees Team 17's core Worms design and development team regrouping for a game of explosive annelid annihilation.

Vin Diesel Signs On For 'Hitman' Movie And Possibly Future Game

Actor and self proclaimed gamer Vin Diesel is said to have signed on to star as Agent 47 in the upcoming Hitman movie, in the works over at 20th Century Fox. No director has been assgined yet but the movie will be produced by Charles Gordon (Daybreak Productions, Die Hard) and Adrian Askarieh (Prime Universe Productions, Spy Hunter), with a helping hand from Eidos' Paul Baldwin. It is also rumored that Vin Diesel's game production company Tigon Studios is in talks with Eidos and IO Interactive regarding the Hitman license and might lend his voice to a future Hitman title, its release coinciding with the aforementioned movie.

HD Interactive has released a tiny registration patch for Mithis Games' real-time mission-based tactical space game Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. During E3 Activision started a Guess The City Contest for the public to try and find out (ends 11:59 p.m. PT on June 16, 2005) which location its True Crime sequel will take place. Giving away a brand new Chrysler 300 to the lucky winner, Activision has released a new trailer showing off some ingame footage, as well as giving a few hints. 'Preyground' Now Known As 'Shadowgrounds' - Screens & Trailer

Frozenbyte announced today the renaming of its upcoming PC action game Preyground to Shadowgrounds. An adrenaline-pumping action game developed in the Finnish woods in secrecy for almost two years, Shadowgrounds strikes from the darkness with a flash of light in Q3 2005. The game features upgradeable weapons, lighting based gameplay and an epic storyline with strong characters.
