Steamfriends claims to have received "an official statement from Activision," that Call of Duty 4 is coming to Steam.

At the Leipzig Games Convention Eidos announced that it has signed Monster Lab, under development at Foundation 9's Backbone Entertainment since 2006. A mix between action & RPG, Monster Lab allows you to compose your own fighter by mixing & matching various body parts, taking your creature out to fight others and upgrading as you move up the ladder.

White Gold: War in Paradise explores the shadowy background of modern low intensity conflicts, where the newest weapons often do battle with the antics of witchdoctors. Kwari is an FPS where players make money off each other in real-time. The game will be free to download online, but instead of being subscription-based it will use a unique free-to-play/pay-to-play model whereby Kwari sells the player ammunition in place of flat rate charges or monthly subscriptions.

UK based Outerlight announced it has signed a development agreement with a major international publisher to work on a sequel for The Ship, its Source Engine powered first person online murder game set aboard a fleet of 1930s steam liners. While no further details were provided, an interview on Consolevania reveals the second installment will be on both PC and Xbox 360.

To celebrate the 12 year anniversary of the Command & Conquer franchise, EA has released the first C&C free of charge. Both the GDI and Nod campaigns are in ISO format, free for download, which needs to be burned on CD using your burning software of choice, such as Nero, Alcohol etc...
