'Prince of Persia: Sands of Time' Wins Two GDC Awards

Ubisoft accepted two prestigious awards for its critically acclaimed hit Prince of Persia The Sands of Time, at the 4th annual Game Developers Choice Awards in San Jose last night. The Prince of Persia team took home the Excellence in Programming and Excellence in Game Design awards.

'Call of Duty' Wins Two GDC Awards

Activision, Inc. announced today that Call of Duty and developer Infinity Ward have received the Rookie Studio of the Year and Excellence in Audio honors at the 4th annual Game Developers Choice (GDC) Awards, Wednesday night at the Civic Auditorium in San Jose, Calif. Presented by the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) and held during the annual Game Developers Conference, the GDC Awards are the premier accolades for peer-recognition in game development.

Capcom Start National Resident Evil: Outbreak (PS2) Marketing Campaign

Capcom today announced a national marketing campaign to support the upcoming release of Resident Evil Outbreak for the PS2. For the first time ever, Capcom will be running an in-theater campaign where spots will run during the month of April to an estimated audience of more than 5 million movie goers. There will also be an extensive television marketing campaign, which begins on March 29th and runs throughout April, generating more than 57 million consumer impressions. These ads will support the overall marketing initiative, which includes print and online advertising, an online street team, promotional and retail partnerships, as well as several consumer launch events.

'The Elemental' - Updated Alpha Mod Available NOW

The Elemental is a total conversion of Gas Powered Games Dungeon Siege. Elemental is set in an alternate mythical version of ancient Judea that is gritty, mean, and profane. Xpand Rally producer Techland informs that it has closed the registration process for beta testers and began the beta test. Over 10.000 people registered during the one week registration period! As announced before, Techland chose 2.000 from the registered users to become the Xpand Rally Official Beta Testers. Among all the registered the majority are residents of France, United States and Germany. However, there were also registrations from such countries as the United Arab Emirates, Korea and Malaysia.
