'The Chronicles of Spellborn' Betatest SignUps

The Chronicles of Spellborn is a MMORPG set in the Enclave of the Five Sacrifices. Developed by Dutch studio Khaeon Games, previously known for Alpha Black Zero, Spellborn uses the Unreal 2.5 Engine. Khaeon Games is now accepting people to join the closed beta test. A limited nummber of people will be allowed, while in Q1 2006 Khaeon plan to open up the beta/stress test for the majority of the applicants.

'F.E.A.R.' Addon Coming?

In an interview with German magazine PC Games, senior producer Craig Hubbard revealed that Monolith is, or will be, working on an addon for its FPS F.E.A.R. While no additional details were provided, Craig did admit, saying "for sure" that the ending of the game was intentionally left open for a possible addon. The complete interview is featured in the PC Games November issue.

D3Publisher today announced a North American co-publishing agreement with TOMY Corporation for video games based on VIZ Media's hit anime series - Shonen Jump's Naruto. F.E.A.R. Performance Issues? You Are A Pirate!

According to Vivendi's FEAR community manager, people who are having performance issues with the retail version of FEAR, are all pirates! In this community thread Greg raised quite a ruckus when people who pre-ordered Monolith's FPS F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) complained of stuttering and performance issues, by calling them pirates. While apparently FEAR apparently has been warezed, people claim certain online outlets have shipped the game ahead of tomorrow's official release date. While pirates usually only remove protections, it is very questionable how such impacts performance at all.

UPDATE: Vivendi's FEAR community manager has issued an apology stating that he did not mean to generalize the issue.
