'RTL Skispringen 2006' (PS2/PC) Goes Gold

49 Games announced today that its latest iteration in the Skispringen franchise has gone gold for PS2 and PC. Featuring 41 ski jump ramps including Worldcup venues, you can either compete or be a coach in one of three difficulties or management mode. After a hard working day you can also relax with the integrated Quiz Games with over 500 topic-referred questions. RTL Skispringen 2006 will be in German stores Novembver 17.

Electronic Arts Japan Cancels 'Star Wars Galaxies' Support

Electronic Arts Japan, Star Wars Galaxies distributor in Japan, announced today that it is seizing support for LucasArts/SOE's Star Wars themed MMO. European and North American servers remain unaffected so Japanese gamers who which to continue their quest will get a chance to transfer their account. Tomorrow the 3rd SWG expansion pack, Trials of Obi-Wan, is making its debut in North America.

It was already rumored a few weeks back but Take 2 today confirmed that Bethesda's next-gen PRG will not be released this year. In its revised revenue and earnings guidance for fiscal 2005 and fiscal 2006, Take 2 confirmed not only that GTA: Liberty City Stories is delayed in Europe due to unexpected delays in final product testing and submission, but also that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for PC and Xbox 360 has been postponed from the Q1 to Q2 2006, which means not before February 2006. In the subsequent conference call Take 2 said that the delay was due to the fact that Bethesda needed more time to work on the title.

The demo will feature 2 Quick Race Tracks (Sprint - Point-to-Point, and Speedtrap - New Race Mode), driveable in 3 cars (Tuned Mustang, Stock Cayman S, and Tuned Cayman S), with opponents using 6 cars (IS300, GTO, Golf GTI, Cayman S, Viper, and Mustang).
