NCSoft is preparing to announce a fourth and final expansion to its MMORPG Guild Wars,
Eye of the North, adding mostly content for high-level players, such as new multi-level dungeons, new armor sets, new skills and additional Heroes. On top of that, NCsoft is also starting to work on a full-fledged sequel, with an updated gfx engine, set 100 years after the original. Scheduled for launch in 2009-10, with a beta starting in 2008, Guild Wars 2 will add zone-wide events like DAoC, a refined control system and plenty more ...

Runaway: the Dream of the Turtle is an adventure game with 3D characters with a cartoon look and high-impact visual features that include 2D and 3D in an unmatchable style. This v1.1 patch is for the German edition of the game only, and fixes a DirectX bug and the "Globe" problem.

Microsoft has rolled out another patch for its Xbox 360, but without prior announcement. Calling it an operating system update instead of a firmware update or security fix, the new download addresses an issue where hackerz found an exploit allowing you to run your own software applications, such as Linux operating system. The vulnerability was discovered late last year and fixed last month. The update was distributed through Xbox Live but will also be included with every game after February 20.

During a Morgan Stanley investor conference Electronic Arts' outgoing chief executive Larry Probst said the publisher expects Sony's 10 year console market dominance to slip in the current hardware war, mainly due to the year lead by Microsoft, and the much cheaper Wii with its innovative Wiimote controller. While Probst still expects Sony to prevail, it will be a tough fight with a less commanding lead.

Now here is an interesting rumor... According to unidentified
insider sources, EALA has recently pitched the idea of bringing the Crysis engine in-house to develop what is said to be a new FPS in the C&C universe. While it is only speculation at this point, the chances are extremely high according to the source, but whether this will be a sequel to the failed C&C Renegade, or an all-new IP was not disclosed. At first the arcade racing game project is called No Brakes: X Racing, but after investigations of the physics model we've modified game concept and renamed to X Motor Racing. The game includes all classes of cars from old RWD to modern sports cars, physics, and various graphical features.
