Earlier today Warner Brothers Pics. announced that it has signed the Hughes brothers to direct a postapocalyptic Western, The Book of Eli. While that in its own right does not have much meaning, the script The Book of Eli was written by Gary Whitta, who, according to Hollywood sources, is currently "writing Diablo for Legendary Pictures and Blizzard Entertainment." Novalogic is secretly working on a series of titles based on the CBS drama The Unit, which in turn is based on Eric Haney's novel Inside Delta Force. At its UbiDays 07 event earlier today in Paris, Ubisoft announced that it has it is working on another movie licensed title, Beowulf. Not the TV series or the 1999 Christopher Lambert movie, but rather Paramount's upcoming remake with Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich and Anthony Hopkins. Developed by 4HEAD and 3D-IO, no platforms or release schedule was revealed, but the movie itself is due November 2007.
