LEGO Universe, MMO developed by NetDevil, will include expansive social and community features, as well as character advancement where you'll be able to customize your mini-figs and interact in the universe as any character you choose.

French magazine NoFrag claims to have received information from an "inside source familiar with the concept" that World of Warcraft powerhouse Blizzard's next online multiplayer title will be an MMOFPS in a futuristic setting. While Blizzard has previously confirmed that it's next title will be vastly different, the source further claims the game will have a social aspect, compared to The Sims Online, a big lobby of sorts where the player goes about his business, and an action part where the combat takes place.

Blood Bowl, based on Games Workshop's board game, is a "game" of American football played by the insane warriors of the fantasy Warhammer universe, allowing you to create and manage teams that will take part in epic battles where fair play is for sissies.

Set 25 years after the events of the original game, Supreme Commander 2 begins with the assassination of the newly elected president of the Colonial Defense Coalition. The CDC members – the United Earth Federation, the Order of the Illuminate, and the Cybran Nation – deny involvement, blame each other, and a galactic war ensues!

Video gamers made it a happier, brighter holiday season for sick children at more than 70 hospitals this year, raising more than $1.7 million through donations, events and an auction for Child’s Play.  The community-supported charity foundation provides books, movies, toys and video games for children to play with during their stays at hospitals.

The CES in full swing! I'll be checking out the new mobile phones — the Google phone in particular, since our current contract is about to expire and we're in the market for new cell phones.

We finished watching Up, and if you haven't seen it yet, it's great. It's a bit of an emotional roller coaster but damn good. On the flip side, we also watched Echelon Conspiracy, and for a movie with big names like Edward Burns, Ving Rhames and Jonathan Pryce, it sure was majorly disappointing.

Tonight, we may try to see Avatar again. I hope the third time's the charm, as the shows were sold out hours in advance for our two previous attempts.
