Alien Evronian warriors are about to launch an invasion on Earth and transform the inhabitants into slaves! Armed with his futuristic mega cyber device and guided by his main ally, ONE, a secret super computer, it is up to PK to stop the evil aliens' campaign to conquer the world.
Disney's PK: Out of the Shadows features four sci-fi comic-book worlds with 11 huge levels including Area 52, a secret base for spatial and scientific research; a secret icy underwater military base; Ducklair tower, ONE's secret location; and inside the Evronian Mothership. Zap away with PK's high-tech hardware, the mega cyber device that upgrades throughout the levels to have a total of four tools of progressive power.

- High-Tech Tools: Pk's cyber-device also improves during the game with state-of-the-art devices: a propulsor, to make large jumps; Rex-swing that allows PK to jump and swing to inaccessible spaces; a target strafe, allowing easy lock-on to enemy targets; and the Remote function that activates secured doors and blasts enemies in remote places.
- Cel-Shaded Graphics: modern saturated color palette with dynamic lights and shadows for more contrast visually, creating a comic book style.
- Comic Book Appeal: onomatopoeias to express characters' emotions and describe surroundings; techno music soundtrack; and cool comic book characters including Zondag, commander of the Evronian mothership and Zoster, member of the Evronian imperial counsel.
