"Grids of Fury" ... a high-quality OpenGL 3D arcade game from Crystal Interactive... the best way you can think to explain it is if you took the basic gameplay elements of Pacman and threw them in the blender with an arcade racer. Sounds like an odd "mix"? Check out the screens. A demo is also available, find some links below...

This was to be your final mission. Track down and eliminate a rebel base and the Alliance would forget the crimes that would have landed anyone else in prison for life. You would have been given a chance to start over again, if you hadn't been ambushed by the outlaws you were sent to destroy. Outnumbered and outgunned your ship was captured by the rebels. Seeing that you were a hardened combat pilot, they sold you as a gladiator to compete in the notorious "Grids of Fury". A combat sport watched by millions where "contestants" have to use every ounce of their flight skills to make it through 10 deadly arenas. Your goal a week ago was to win your freedom, now you will be fighting for your life.

"Grids of Fury" is a stylish 3D arcade game that places you in a future gladiatorial arena. Each level you will have to dodge and weave your way through the Grids to catch the power cubes. Relentless enemy ships will be in hot pursuit at every turn, with the single purpose of providing the crowd with a deadly explosion to cheer. Weapon upgrades scattered along the way will be your only aid for clearing a path towards your goal. The odds are stacked against you. It will take razor-sharp reflexes and quick thinking if you hope stay alive in the Grids of Fury.

Great 3D graphics, sounds and gameplay combined with a truly unique overhead view, round out this addictive action title.
