In remembrance of the infamous Pearl Harbor attack, Valve kicks off a World War II week today on Steam with a Call of Duty bundle, a Red Orchestra Free Weekend (Dec. 7 - 10), and limited-time discounts on the leading WWII action games offered via Steam.

The special weeklong promotion kicks off with the release of Activision and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Warchest. An incredible value, the CoD: Warchest includes Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, and Call of Duty 2 all for a regular price of just $49.95. But, during WWII Week, CoD: Warchest will be offered for 10% less than the regular price.

Also set for deployment this week, the second Free Weekend trial of Red Orchestra, which now features the new content Tripwire has delivered in the RO Fall Update. The RO Free Weekend starts at 1:00 pm PST Thursday December 7, and will come home at 1:00 pm PST Sunday December 10. No purchase is required to enlist in the Free Weekend.

In addition to the Free Weekend, Tripwire is now offering RO for just $19.95. And those who purchase Red Orchestra before December 14, 2006 will receive an additional 10% savings.

Finally, Valve is offering 20% off Day of Defeat: Source for those who purchase before December 14, 2006.
