JoWooD and The Adventure Company announce that they have entered into a partnership with Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing to develop a series of interactive games based on the works of the world’s most popular boy detectives The Hardy Boys.

With over 100 million copies of their beloved books in print, America’s original crime scene investigators, Frank and Joe Hardy are ready to be featured in an exciting PC game format. The titles will release worldwide over the next 5 years, beginning with the first title The Tower Treasure set to release in the Fall 2008. The Hardy Boys series has been notably anticipated by the PC adventure gaming audience and will be an impressive addition to the company’s strong line-up of family friendly adventure titles.

“Fans have been waiting and we are set to deliver an adventure series that is certain to become a family classic,” said Albert Seidl, President and CEO for the JoWooD Group. “The Hardy Boys have been with us for decades and generations of fans will not only be thrilled that they can finally play the part of their favorite teenage detective brothers, but can share the adventure with their children and grandchildren.”

JoWooD and The Adventure Company’s goal is to create a series of games that remain true to the original stories and characters in The Hardy Boys with stunning and varied environments, challenging and thought provoking puzzles in an easy-to-use gaming interface.

The Hardy Boys: The Tower Treasure is set to release in the Fall 2008.
