'Call of Duty 4' Developers Shocked By Rampant PC Piracy

by Rainier on Jan. 15, 2008 @ 1:16 p.m. PST

When pulling some PC multiplayer statistics on Call of Duty 4, Infinity Ward was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of PC gamers currently playing online, but equally shocked at the percentage of those numbers who were playing by means of stolen/cracked CD keys or pirated copies. Infinity Ward was blown away at the amount of people willing to steal games (or anything) simply because it's not tangible or they think it's "safe" on the Internet to do so. As a side note, mod tools are currently being tested and will be released soon.
