In The Mix: Featuring Armin van Buuren allows players to experience for themselves what it is like to be a DJ like Armin, mixing electronic dance music and interacting with the audience.

The game will contain many of Armin van Buuren’s music masters and features artists he often works with. To make the experience complete, Armin will also include unique, never before released material in the Wii game. Players can use the available effects, loops and individual parts to mix music. Wii functionality will be optimally utilized to maximize the music mixing experience.

Career Mode

The career mode allows you to experience the entire career of a real DJ. Your own accomplishments determine how far your career goes!

The game starts by choosing the city that will be your home base. As a starting DJ you will play what is still a simple set in a few underground clubs in your home city. If you do your work well, a talent scout will introduce you to some larger clubs in the local circuit. The stepping-stone to your international breakthrough will be a deal with a successful record label and your contacts with influential people.

For your gigs at parties and in clubs you will get money as well as points. You can use the money to buy new equipment in the DJ Store, such as CDJs, mixers and sound effect equipment. Each investment represents a unique step forward in your career. If you opt for a better mixer, for example, you will have more channels available for mixing; good headphones will help you beat-match numbers. The higher up the career ladder you climb, the more demanding your work environment will become. You will repeatedly have to get the audience swinging, and not just by means of music: you must also use your poses and gestures to build up a scintillating atmosphere among the audience.

The career mode gradually introduces you to all elements of the work of a DJ. The many technical secrets of the job are unveiled in a way that everybody can understand and are used in the game. The career mode of In The Mix: Featuring Armin van Buuren genuinely gives you the feeling of being able to grow from a starting DJ into an international superstar, and who better than Armin van Buuren to show you the way?
