Former Ubisoft content director of Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Yoan Fanise, announced the opening of his development studio in South of France: Digixart Entertainment.

Digixart Entertainment will allow its team to create touching and meaningful experiences for players. The philosophy of the company is centralized around highly emotional content.

A new segment is emerging in the video game industry, as supported by organizations such as Games for Change. People are attracted by this new generation of games which brings not only fun but also a deeper reflection on serious life subjects. The same way, in which the movie industry made a place for serious genres after being only amusement, it’s now time for video game to evolve and enlarge its audience.

“At Digixart, we want our games to amuse people, but at the same time make them think and reflect upon their gaming experience. We want to create games that will move them, perhaps from laughter to tears.” – Yoan Fanise

More details about the games currently in production will come later this year.
