'Tachyon Project' (ALL) Announced - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on June 1, 2015 @ 8:40 a.m. PDT

Tachyon Project is an action packed dual-stick shooter where we've taken concepts from the classic shoot'em up genre and adapted them.

In Tachyon Project the player will find the gameplay versatility and speed traditional to dual stick shooters but with the variability in weapons and enemies that you usually find in shoot'em ups.

We love classic shoot'em ups like 1942, Aero Fighters and Raptor: Call of Shadows, and thought that the 2 genres are close enough and would mix really well. That's why we've added lots of weapons (from your standard machine gun to a laser), secondary weapons (like explosions, mines or slow down boms) and even perks (stuff you add to your ship to improve some stats) that allow you to configure your ship the way you like it. You'll definitely need it to defeat the hordes of enemies that come in over 30 different varieties, including 4 bosses.

The variety in enemies, which are presented progressively through the story mode levels, and weapons, which are unlocked by progressing through story mode, helps give the game a sensation of freshness that's not so easy to find in other games of the same genre.
