'Hitman' (ALL) Gets New Content But Delays Elusive Targets

by Rainier on March 22, 2016 @ 11:40 a.m. PDT

Hitman will see players perform contract hits on powerful, high-profile targets in exotic locations around the world.

Gameplay focuses on taking out targets in huge and intricate sandbox levels with complete freedom of approach. Where to go, when to strike and who to kill - it is all up to you. And for the first time Hitman will lead with a digital release inviting players into a world of assassination, from the highly fashionable Paris and sunny coast of Italy to the dust and hustle of the markets in Marrakesh in this creative stealth action game.

We are happy to see everyone having so much fun with our Escalation Contracts and we have two new ones coming your way later today to really test your mastery of Paris. See below for some details on what to expect from those this week!

In the coming weeks, we'll be releasing The Vampire Magician Challenge Pack to give you even more new things to do. This pack features ten new challenges inspired by community activity, all requiring you to wear the Vampire Magician disguise while taking down targets using a range of different methods. This pack will drop for all three platforms with a game update, which will also fix a variety of things in the game. See the release notes we put out at the time for more details on that.

The unfortunate news is that we’re pushing out the Elusive Targets until closer to the planned release of the next episode, Sapienza in April, but you’ll get two Escalation Contracts coming each week until the release of Sapienza and between these and the new challenges, you will be entertained for quite some time. Next week, you’ll know exactly when Sapienza will arrive. Stay tuned for that.

Escalation Contracts for w/c 21 March.

Escalation Contracts are all about having fun with the game mechanics and mixing up your approach and strategy. We've talked about that in more depth already
With each new Escalation stage, something new is added to the mix. It could be a time limit, additional security measures, additional targets, new enforcers, specific kill conditions or complications such as hiding all bodies within 90 seconds. Escalation Contracts put your location mastery and strategies to the test.

Today, we've added two new Escalation Contracts into the game on all platforms. They are live now and you'll find them under 'Escalations' in the Contracts Menu.

We recommend that you go into these Escalations with no hints of what's to come, but if you can't resist, there are some slight spoilers about what the objectives and complications are below...

The Osterman Mosaic tasks you with a variety of different objectives. As you might guess from the hint above, you'll be using the sabre to eliminate one of your targets. On top of that, you'll need to be quick to hide bodies, avoid some extreme security measures and take down an additional target - and you'll need to do all of that fairly quickly.

The Gemini Fiasco truly mixes things up and will test your mastery of Paris. Fan-favourite Helmut Kruger is involved in this Escalation, which includes a variety of different objectives and complications that will consistently force you to figure out a new approach. You'll need poison and good knowledge of where security cameras are to complete this one efficiently.
