Wushu Studios Team Up With Lucid Games For Multiple Projects

by Rainier on Nov. 29, 2018 @ 1:27 a.m. PST

Wushu Studios have partnered with fellow British video game developer, Lucid Games, to collaborate on upcoming projects.

Starting with the new fast paced, pulse-pounding vehicle combat MOBA game Switchblade, currently in early access on PlayStation 4 and Steam.

“Lucid are a classy team and we’re thrilled to be contributing to their upcoming projects. Opportunities like these, to work and share knowledge with other talented and experienced developers, are what motivate us as a team. New challenges like these offer us a chance to hone our skills and flex our creativity which, in turn, helps us stay agile when it comes to our own IP – something we hope to be able to talk more about soon. We look forward to sharing more about our work with Lucid in the coming weeks and months”, said Wushu Studios founder Alan McDermott.

Wushu Studios is an independent game development studio based in Liverpool’s high-tech creative quarter, the Baltic Triangle. Founded in August 2017, the team is helmed by veteran AAA developers behind the popular MotorStorm and Driveclub franchises, as well as fresh talent from around the world.

Lucid Games was formed in 2011 by ex-Bizarre Creations staff, creators of the critically acclaimed Project Gotham Racing series, and has worked on original titles such as Switchblade and Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions and has also contributed to major franchises such as Need for Speed Payback and Goat Simulator. Also based in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, Lucid have grown to over 100 developers since forming.
