2K today announced AJ Styles as the cover Superstar for WWE 2K19.

An unparalleled in-ring competitor and distinguished personality recognized globally for his accomplishments spanning nearly two decades, “The Phenomenal One” – also a massive video game enthusiast – will usher in WWE 2K19’s worldwide marketing campaign of “Never Say Never” while inviting fans to learn more about the video game.

Take a heartwarming look back at one of the most storied careers in WWE history in the latest episode of WWE Photo Shoot! featuring 16-time WWE World Champion, global pop culture icon and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, alongside daughter and current SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.

Together, the pair celebrate the WWE 2K19 Wooooo! Edition, looking back at the iconic moments and legacy that inspired this collector’s offering and the exclusive memorabilia and extensive digital content contained within. The limited collector’s edition also contains the complete WWE 2K19 Deluxe Edition with two pre-order bonus playable characters: Former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio and current WWE Superstar “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey.

2K announced the inclusion of two of NXT UK’s finest in the forthcoming franchise’s worldwide release. Current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne joined NXT Superstar Tyler Bate at NXT UK Birmingham – in conjunction with Insomnia63, the UK’s biggest gaming festival –  to reveal they are the first NXT UK Superstars confirmed to appear in WWE 2K19.

"As WWE expands globally, we want the WWE 2K roster to reflect those changes as much as possible,” said Sean Conway, narrative designer at Visual Concepts. A lot of fans requested Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate be added to the WWE 2K roster, and we weren’t surprised given how much success they’ve had early in their careers and the amazing matches they’ve had against one another. All things considered, there were no better options to select for our first NXT UK roster additions."

WWE 2K19 is currently scheduled for worldwide release on October 9, 2018 for the PS4, Xbox and PC.
