'The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series' (ALL) Gets Dated, Graphical Overhaul - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on July 1, 2019 @ 7:30 a.m. PDT

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series bundles the entire series as a physical collection, with over 50 hours of content across 23 distinct episodes with brand-new enhancements, updates, and improvements.

Based on Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series allows players to experience the full story of young survivor Clementine as she grows from scared little girl to capable survivor in a videogame series that set the benchmark for storytelling in games.

A light of hope in a dark world, Clementine goes through many protectors and weathers many threats, learning to fight back in an apocalypse where the weak are crushed and the cruel get results. Always at a disadvantage, Clementine must outsmart and out-will foes stronger than her, and become one of the toughest people still alive, despite her small stature. It's up to the player how much Clementine trusts, who she loves, who she hurts, and what she chooses to protect when she cannot save everyone.

Following the recent conclusion of Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season, Skybound Games announced it will release all four seasons of the game series in a comprehensive physical bundle for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

“Graphic black is a loving tribute to the source material and a powerful art style that makes the game look like a living comic book,” said Kent Mudle, Creative Director for The Walking Dead and the Still Not Bitten team at Skybound Games. “An idea the team formulated and perfected with The Final Season, this new visual styling offers longtime fans a way to play the series again in a brand-new light while giving new audiences a smooth visual ride across all seasons.”

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series contains all four seasons of the series, along with The Walking Dead: Michonne, 400 Days DLC and several digital bonuses. There are over 50 hours of gameplay across 23 unique episodes, more than 10 hours of developer commentary, behind-the-scenes bonus features including concept and character art galleries, a “Return of The Walking Dead” documentary short, faithful recreations of classic menus, and a music player with over 140 musical tracks. The collection also includes the application across all seasons and content of “graphic black,” an art style that pays homage to The Walking Dead comics and was previously only available for The Final Season.

The physical bundle can be pre-ordered via a variety of global retailers starting today. More information about digital pre-orders will be announced at a later date.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series will be available in three Collector’s Packs – Protector, Guardian, and Signature – each containing exclusive digital and physical bonuses.

In addition to game content and digital bonuses, each of the three Collector’s Packs will include special physical bonus items including:

  • Protector Pack ($99.99) – Game content, digital bonuses, an Ericson School for Troubled Youth t-shirt, Clementine & Lee Enamel Pins, a Kenny Hat, Clementine Nesting Dolls, and a Disco Broccoli Plush.
  • Guardian Pack ($249.99) – Including all items from the Protector Pack in a box with gold stamped signatures from the Still Not Bitten team, plus a 10” Clementine & Lee Diorama, and a 18”x24” Art Print from comic book artist Eric Zawadzki.
  • Signature Pack ($349.99) – Including all items from both Guardian and Protector Packs in a signature stamped box, plus a signed Art Print from members of the Still Not Bitten team, voiceover actors and The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. Only 100 available!
