by Rainier on Sept. 18, 2019 @ 8:36 a.m. PDT

Earthfall: Alien Horde is a 4-player co-op shooter where a ragtag bunch of survivors band together to fight back against an alien invasion in the year 2032.

The end of the world is here! Emerging from the devastation of a global meteor strike, aliens swarm the landscape and ravage the planet. Everyday people must stand together and fight back with a wide variety of weapons, supplies, and defenses as they battle through the towns and wilderness of the Pacific Northwest.

Inspired by classic shooters like Left for Dead, Earthfall players employ team-based tactics to fortify holdouts and complete objectives under unrelenting attacks from alien hordes. Utilizing a wide variety of weapons and supplies like barricades, turrets, 3D printers, players must use team-based tactics and defenses while exploring the towns and wildernesses of the Pacific Northwest.

Earthfall: Alien Horde is a revitalization of Earthfall (previously released on Xbox One, PS4, and Steam) and is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 11, 2019.

Featuring the entirety of Earthfall, plus all its many updates, Earthfall: Alien Horde brings online and all-new local wireless 4-player co-op exclusively to the Nintendo Switch. Featuring tons of content for players to enjoy, Earthfall: Alien Horde will be available for £17.99 / €19.99 on the Nintendo eShop.

"Bringing Earthfall: Alien Horde to the Nintendo Switch made perfect sense to us,” said Russell Williams of Nimble. “The ability to play with your friends anywhere -- online or with local wireless play -- is really going to be a fun and unique feature that works extremely well with our 4-player co-operative FPS. Switch is a great console and Earthfall: Alien Horde is great on Switch. We hope everyone has fun taking on the apocalyptic horde of aliens and their overlords.”

Earthfall will feature ten missions across two story-mode campaigns, with diverse environments and deadly aliens to battle. As players fight waves of drones and towering monsters, they’ll discover the story behind the cataclysmic alien invasion - and exactly what horrible secrets the invaders are hiding.
