Celebrating 25 years of Ace Combat, Bandai Namco revealed that the next installment in the series, Ace Combat 8, is in development.

While details are still scant, Ace Combat producer Kazutoki Kono did reveal that they have started working on a new project in the Ace Combat series, and that the Project Aces team will be developing the new title, but the small studio can't handle the process by itself and is looking to expand.

As such, Project Aces and Bandai Namco have recruited Tokyo-based studio ILCA, already known for aiding with Ace Combat 7 but also various Pokemon titles (Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl) as well as Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
