'Harvest Moon: The Winds Of Anthos' Announced For Summer 2023

Harvest Moon: The Winds Of Anthos is the next installment in the Harvest Moon franchise, offering new functions while keeping the core fundamentals that has made the series so popular.

The land players will explore is known as Anthos, and is home to the Harvest Sprites, spirits that protect people and nature, as well as the goddess of nature known as the Harvest Goddess. However, about 20 years ago, an unprecedented eruption in Anthos's volcanic region forced the Harvest Goddess and her Harvest Sprites to use all of their powers to protect the people. The people were saved, but the eruption left the villages cut off from each other...

Believing that the separated villages and people would one day be reconnected, the Harvest Goddess sent a bottle into the ocean with a letter and a magic key, then fell into a deep sleep...

2022 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Harvest Moon series and the origin of the farming sim genre. The debut game, Harvest Moon, was released in June 1997 on the SNES in North America and now the series boasts more than 30 games. Fan favorites include Harvest Moon 64 (released on the Nintendo 64 in 1999), Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (released on the Sony PlayStation in 2001) and Harvest Moon DS (released on the Nintendo DS in 2007). Over the past 25 years, Harvest Moon titles have been released on numerous consoles starting on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and more recently releasing on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam and mobile, making Harvest Moon more accessible than ever. The most recent release in the franchise was Harvest Moon: One World which is available now for Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation, Xbox and Steam.

Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is coming to undisclosed platforms in summer 2023.
