Task Force 141 makes its massive return with a global squad of iconic veterans, these Operators include Captain John Price, Simon “Ghost” Riley, John “Soap” MacTavish, Kyle 'Gaz' Garrick and introducing Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas.

Players will experience what made Task Force 141 become the iconic and legendary squad that it is, featuring familiar heroes and new allies who will be challenged to work together in missions across Europe, Asia and the Americas. The Campaign is set to be an incredible experience, featuring offshore sieges with underwater combat, all-out explosive assaults from 30,000 feet above enemy strongholds, and high-stakes, low-profile stealth missions. Players can also join up with their duo for evolved Special Ops, a tactical co-op mode that will advance team-building skills, and also sets the scene for the near-endless hours of gameplay available in the world-class Multiplayer.

In Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s multiplayer, players will be able to try out and level up the multiple base weapons, explore a wide range of maps and modes, meet an international cast of Operators and more. Modern Warfare II will also have an incredible post-release calendar, set to include a massive amount of free post-launch content drops featuring new maps, modes, and blockbuster special events that can’t be missed.

Soon after the launch of Modern Warfare II, Warzone 2.0 will launch as an extension of the Modern Warfare II universe. With it comes new technology, new features, and new gameplay that work seamlessly together. Throughout, the team has taken a wide range of community feedback to heart with both experiences. In order to fully deliver this state-of-the-art Warzone experience, Warzone 2.0 will feature new Modern Warfare II content and systems with brand-new progression and inventories. To add, today’s Warzone will continue as a separate experience that will include a continuation of player progression and inventories within that Warzone experience.

Expect a massive calendar of free content post-launch featuring evolving gameplay with new maps, modes, seasonal events, community celebrations and more.

In addition, for the first time in Call Of Duty history, the team is using one unified engine across the franchise. Starting with Modern Warfare II, the new title features the new, next-generation engine first debuted with Modern Warfare (2019).  Modern Warfare II will be the most advanced Call of Duty in history, with a truly immersive experience with stunningly realistic sound, lighting, and graphics. New technology, including new toolchains, AI and locomotion models are refined. Modern Warfare ll features a physically based material system allowing for state-of-the-art photogrammetry, a new hybrid tile based streaming system, new PBR water and underwater decal rendering system, world volumetric lighting, 4K HDR, and more as well as a new GPU geometry pipeline. All of this is in service of a massive cinematic campaign.

The Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II Open Beta will be free across all platforms, with players who pre-order gaining early access.

This pre-release version of the game will give you an advanced look into the game’s Multiplayer, including maps, modes, weapons, and other features.

Specific dates and details will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Available for all platforms, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Vault Edition is the highest-tier version of Modern Warfare II and has an MSRP of $99.99 or your regional equivalent.

In addition to the full game and Open Beta Early Access, which all preorder versions will receive, the Vault Edition contains the following:

Red Team 141

When Task Force 141 gets the green light for deadly Operator-against-Operator missions, they gear up to become a formidable force:

Red Team 141.

On day one, Vault Edition owners will receive four playable Multiplayer Operators — Ghost, Farah, Price, and Soap — each wearing a special masked outfit.

All of them are themed around the legendary mercenary Ghost , custom-made to get the job done, whether it’s 30,000 feet above the ground or deep below the sea… and look absolutely menacing while doing it.

FJX Cinder Weapon Vault**

The ultimate weapon is team, and great teams need the right tools for the toughest missions.

We plan to share more details on the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault and the new Gunsmith closer to Modern Warfare II’s launch.

More After Launch: Battle Pass (good for one season) and 50 Tier Skips***

The Red Team 141 Operator Pack and FJX Cinder Weapon Vault are great foundations for a solid first strike. But as the battle continues, a reload of content doesn’t hurt.

Following the launch of Modern Warfare II, Vault Edition holders will receive the Season 1 Battle Pass and 50 Tier Skips (or its equivalent) for free. If the Vault Edition is purchased after Season One, that free Battle Pass and Tier Skips can apply to that current season.

Getting this benefit allows you to unlock the full offering of seasonal content like Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, and more — along with a serious head start in that Battle Pass through 50 Tier Skips.

Ghost Legacy Pack — A Dozen Skins for the Iconic Operator, 10 Tactical Weapon Blueprints****

Vault Edition owners will not just be well prepared for the new era: this special edition also has 20+ free items for Modern Warfare (2019) and Warzone via the Ghost Legacy Pack, immediately unlocked upon pre-purchase†.

A special collection of previously released Modern Warfare Bundle content crafted to celebrate a Task Force 141 icon, the Ghost Legacy Pack includes the following Operator Skins for the Ghost Operator in Warzone and Modern Warfare:

  • Jawbone

  • Mandible
  • Ghosted

This instant-unlock collection is great for those looking to dive into the sequel’s predecessor and play the current Warzone with one of Modern Warfare II’s greatest heroes.

For those die-hard Ghost fans who may already have this content or who may want some newer threads, know that this won’t be the only instant-unlock reward for the current Warzone. More details to come soon…

In-Game Store Bonus: 10 Hours Double XP Tokens, 10 Hours Double Weapon XP Tokens at Launch

Want to hit the ground running on Day One of Modern Warfare II and the new Warzone experience to follow?

Pick up the Vault Edition through the Warzone, Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, or Modern Warfare In-Game Store, and receive 10 Hours of Double XP Tokens and 10 Hours of Double Weapon XP Tokens for use in Modern Warfare II.

Needless to say: 10 hours of Double-Double time is enough to fill up an entire “sick day” on October 28 and then some.

These tokens will be ready right at launch to help you race to Prestige or level up weapons — they also can be used in the new Warzone once it launches later this year.

All platforms also have a digital version that includes the base game, early access to the Open Beta*, and other instant rewards that we cannot yet reveal, for an MSRP of $69.99 or your regional equivalent.

The Cross-Gen Bundle of Modern Warfare II, available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, offers flexibility both in terms of potential upgrades and platform availability.

Purchasing this version — or the Vault Edition — will give players access to the previous generation console version of Modern Warfare II (PlayStation 4 or Xbox One) and the current version (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S). When using a next-generation console, ensure you are playing that version of the game rather than the previous generation version, as both may be available for download in this Cross-Gen Bundle.

For PC, its digital version is the Standard edition and is the only other version of Modern Warfare II outside of the Vault Edition for this platform. All PC versions can be purchased through Battle.net or Steam.

Both the PC Standard Digital Version and the other platforms’ Cross-Gen Bundles will include early access to the game’s Open Beta*. Stay tuned for details on this pre-launch experience, as well as other rewards that all digital preorder customers will receive.

Physical Console Versions, Including Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.) Edition, Also Available

Those who want a physical disc version of Modern Warfare II can preorder a Cross-Gen Bundle for the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, a cross-gen version for PlayStation 4, or a next-generation version for PlayStation 5.

Note: the PlayStation 5 version does not include a PlayStation 4 version of Modern Warfare II.

All these versions are available for $69.99 (MSRP) or your regional equivalent.

At select retailers, there will also be specially marked boxes of Modern Warfare II that will include unique Call of Duty Endowment bundle. This Call of Duty Endowment bundle will be available for immediate use on October 28.
