by Rainier on May 24, 2023 @ 12:00 a.m. PDT

Mario, Rabbid Peach and their friends are back for a new adventure of cosmic scale in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope!

Players will embark on an epic journey to restore order as Cursa, a mysterious and malevolent entity, twists the planets with its evil influence.

Mixing turn-based tactics and real time action, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope’s innovative combat system will have players use their Heroes to dash at enemies, team jump on allies, hide behind covers, or take advantage of their special abilities in order to get the most out of every turn.  With its innovative gameplay, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be a fun tactical adventure for new players and experts of the genre alike.

Determined to consume all the energy in the galaxy, Cursa and its minions are hunting the Sparks, uncanny creatures formed by the fusion of Lumas & Rabbids, and will destroy all who stand in its way. Players will have to locate and save the Sparks to have them join the adventure, opening up new tactical possibilities to help Heroes get the upper hand in battles. In addition to leveling up and customizing their Heroes, players will have the opportunity to pair them with Sparks to unlock additional abilities! They all have a distinct power and personality, ranging from energy shields to powerful elemental attacks.

Ubisoft teased the second post-launch DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.

The Last Spark Hunter DLC will have our Heroes travelling to a brand-new planet (Melodic Gardens). Players will be able to explore new environments, filled with fun characters to meet, secrets to discover, but also new enemies to face. This new story content will be available mid-2023.

In the last DLC, Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Peach and Rayman will join forces in a surprising, fun and epic adventure. Players will be able to control Rayman and follow our Heroes as they explore a new and mysterious place. This DLC will arrive late-2023.

All downloadable content requires players to own Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope and are included in the game’s Season Pass. Tower of Doooom is exclusively available for Season Pass owners, while the two other expansions can be bought separately. The Season Pass is included in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Gold Edition.

On your adventure, travel and explore a variety of planets filled with strange inhabitants and hilarious secrets. Outwit enemies along the way in an innovative combat system mixing turn-based tactics and real-time action. Take control of your Heroes to dash enemies, team jump on allies, hide behind cover… and make the most out of each turn in tactical and dynamic fights.

Players will create their dream team of three Heroes from an eclectic roster of nine to face surprising bosses, familiar enemies from the Mario universe and exceptional Rabbids enemies in their cosmic quest! There are dozens of Sparks throughout the galaxy to locate, rescue and join the journey. Each Spark has a distinct power and personality, and heroes can use their special abilities in battle to gain the upper hand in combat. When this unlikely team combines forces with the Sparks’ immense energy, anything is possible … for better OR worse!

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope builds on the fantasy of the publicly and critically acclaimed game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle to offer a new gameplay experience and an epic journey through an endangered galaxy.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is available worldwide for Nintendo Switch.
