Co-developed by both studios, Nubs! will also be the debut title from Rangatang, a new development studio based in the Netherlands founded by former members of Ronimo Games, developer of the 2012 indie smash hit, Awesomenauts.

With Nubs!, Rangatang and Glowfish Interactive continue the ‘multiplayer-first’ ethos of the former’s spiritual predecessor. Players will be able to join or host up to four of their best friends (or foes) in frantic, arena-styled brawls chock-full of oddball characters, formidable weapons (fish, anyone?), and deadly traps!

Slap yourself into the absurdity of Nubs, where 5-player battles are as chaotic as they are quick! Risk it all for the mighty Konzumos' delight in this arena brawler and smash the others to nublivion in your quest for glory! Simple rules? Check. Roguelite progression? Sure. Predictability? No way!

All hail Konzumos the Unentertained, the one who demands to be amused. Guide your Nub through a variety of treacherous arenas brimming with traps. Unlock new power-ups after every match, and collect the most ridiculous gear to smack other Nubs down – all to become Konzumos’ favorite.

Sharpen your wits (Nub-style) and battle against the other Nubs in various game modes as you dodge booby traps and lethally fling fish alike! With simple rules in a mad world, every match can spiral into all-out pandemonium at any moment!

During the MIX Fall Showcase multiplayer arena brawler Nubs! revealed it is coming to Steam in Q2 2025, showing off more chaotic gameplay goodness, such as a wide variety of weapons and ways to customize them.

In the game mode shown in the MIX Showcase Trailer, Nubs must gather stars, and the one to gather the most stars by the end of a match will be named champion! Anything can happen in a round of Nubs!, so don’t expect the time for a carefully planned strategy — get ready or get Nubbed!

The showcase trailer demonstrates a variety of Nub costumes players can choose from — will you be bonking your Nub-mates as a chicken? Or how about a pirate?! And since a Nub without a weapon is like a fish out of water, chests containing weapons and buffs will be scattered about the fighting ground. Arm your Nub with the Burny-Stick to shoot fireballs from afar, a Giga-Pointer-Popper with its barely controllable volley of arrows, or a Ka-brrr bomb to inconvenience your enemies by freezing them. Then strengthen yourself or your weapons with a buff to, for instance, become faster or shoot more fireballs!

Besides the maps visible in the trailer — Flaming Fiesta and Funky Frogwood — more will be available to wreak havoc in. Glowfish Interactive and Rangatang will also be cooperating closely with the Nubs! community to finetune the gameplay and create more weapons, for instance.

The first ever beta test will take place on December 14th and 15th. Those who want to be part of the chaos can make sure to join the game’s Discord to receive a notification once testing is available. More information about Nubs! will also be revealed here.

The core of Nubs! originated at Ronimo Games, with Rangatang purchasing and adapting the intellectual property in 2023. With a solid foundation in place at Ronimo, Nubs! has since seen a great evolution at Rangatang and, together with Glowfish Interactive, the agile, indie nature of both studios has helped the core gameplay become even more refined and awesome.
