Apex Legends delivers a squad-based battle royale experience with a uniquely Respawn flavor. Players will select from one of eight Legends - each with their own unique abilities and playstyles - and the last team standing wins. Combatants can choose from unique characters like Bloodhound, the tracker who can see recent enemy activity on the map, or Lifeline, a battlefield medic who can shield teammates and bring them back from the brink of death. Balanced squads and teamwork are critical, as each Legend is easy to pick up and learn, but challenging to master.

Apex Legends showcases several new genre-leading innovations, starting before players even start the match. Once players are ready to begin, they’ll choose their drop point with the Jumpmaster system, giving each squad full control over exactly where they drop in. Is it smarter to head straight for the most valuable loot and risk early conflict with other teams, or make for one of the outlying areas to plot an attack and let other squads pick each other off?

It’s kill or be killed as EA and Respawn have revealed the brand new Apex Legends Inner Beast Collection Event, which will take place from March 5–19. This latest event for Apex Legends: Breakout introduces a new Battle Royale takeover with The Hunt, as well as 24 limited-time cosmetics including Bloodhound’s “Prowler Guardian” skin and Octane’s new Butterfly Knife heirloom “Octane’s Prototype.”

• Battle Royale Takeover: The Hunt - Legends can track their way to victory in the all-new Battle Royale takeover, The Hunt. Players use a Hunt Datapad to track and eliminate their Prey Squad for a reward. However, the Prey Squad can turn the tables on their pursuers and claim rewards by eliminating them or outlasting them for the duration of the hunt.
• Event Items - Throughout the event, players can climb the Rewards Track and ensnare 24 event cosmetics like Bloodhound’s “Prowler Guardian” skin and the “Mawful” C.A.R. SMG skin, tailor-made for close-quarter takedowns. If they capture all 24 limited-time items before the event ends, they will receive Octane’s new Butterfly Knife heirloom “Octane’s Prototype” – sharp enough to slice through the densest jungle...and enemy squads.

With the Inner Beast Collection Event, it’s kill or be killed! Track your Prey Squad using a Hunt datapad and eliminate them for a reward in the Battle Royale takeover: The Hunt. But be warned, Prey can also outlast the duration of the hunt or eliminate their Hunters to claim rewards.

NEW TAKEOVER: THE HUNT

Look for Hunts, unique datapads with tracking data, in non-Ranked Battle Royale matches to discover and be assigned a Prey squad for you to hunt to their elimination—or yours. Hunts are available across the map and can be activated at any time during the match. Initiate a Hunt and let the tracking begin!

Enemy squads will be randomly selected and marked as Prey for a limited-time. Keep a watchful eye as Hunters will receive updated tracking data while they’re on the prowl. And tread lightly, your Prey will be warned once you’re within a dangerous range of them (~70m). Each time a Hunt is activated, another squad is selected to be the Hunters and a second one becomes the Prey. Succeed in your tracking for a bonus reward, but if you fall to your Prey then the reward will be bestowed upon them instead. Don’t stay still for long, your squad could be next.

All 24 items will be available in exchange for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals and in Inner Beast Event Apex Packs† for the entire duration of the event.

If you capture them all before the event ends, you’ll automatically receive Octane’s Butterfly Knife heirloom: “Octane’s Prototype.”

REWARD TRACKER

Take on challenges to honor the Allfather, and unlock rewards and badges. Up to 1,400 points can be earned per day and challenges refresh daily. All of these challenges also stack with your Battle Pass so you can complete multiple challenges at once.
