After an age of warfare, the superpowers of the land of Valoran have come together to form a governing body that will settle all disputes behind the closed doors of the Institute of War. Their task is a noble one — to lift the impossible weight of bloody war off the shoulders of the world and place it upon a select few — The League of Legends. On the Fields of Justice, legendary Champions forge alliances and resolve their differences in battle arenas. In the League there is one rule that reigns over all else: Winner rules all.

In League of Legends, players take on the role of a persistent Summoner avatar that gazes upon the battlefield from above and influences battles by taking command of a chosen Champion. During each online multiplayer play session, gamers will choose one of dozens of unique Champions wielding diverse skills and abilities, and engage in fast-paced team-oriented combat to bring their foes to ruin. Champions will gain levels, items, and abilities that enable them to slay their opponents and augment the strength of their allies by battling with enemy minions, foul beasts, deadly turrets and enemy Champions. Players also advance their Summoner’s rank and power to gain new abilities and items, assisting their Champions in battle.

League of Legends emphasizes team-oriented gameplay and players must work together in order to defeat the opposing team. Players will be able to communicate easily through in-game lounges and chat rooms, and forums will act as a conversational hub for a wide variety of discussions amongst community members. League of Legends will feature custom-built multiplayer support including matchmaking, stat tracking, clan support, anti-cheat systems, dedicated in-game ladders and Leaverbuster technology. In addition to extensive multiplayer features, League of Legends will include a single-player mode where players can learn how to play and practice new strategies by engaging robust Bot-AI.

Born to a vastayan Bryni tribe, in the Freljordian village Aamu, Aurora grew up with the unique ability to see the veil between the spirit and material realms. Aurora struggled to connect with her peers, instead finding companionship with nearby spirits. Determined to learn more about the spirit realm, Aurora left her village to travel across the Freljord.

“I see the spirit realm and material realm simultaneously.”

While assisting the region's spirits, she met and befriended a forgotten demigod, Hestrelk (or Haestryr), giving her a new goal: become strong enough to help her friend.

Aurora’s earliest concepts were broad: a dancer who creates stories out of smoke, a mage who combines elements to create different magic. But there was one that everyone just kept returning to... the bunny witch wielding spirit magic.

Aurora the Witch Between Worlds will be coming to League of Legends on July 17, 2024 as part of the v14.14 Update.

Abilities

	Passive - Spirit Abjuration If Aurora damages an enemy 3 times with her spells and attacks, she will deal magic damage and exorcise a spirit to her, entering Spirit Mode and gaining movement speed and empowering her healing for 3 seconds. For every additional spirit following Aurora, the bonuses from Spirit Mode are increased by 5%.
	Q - Twofold Hex Fire a blast of cursed energy in a direction, dealing magic damage to enemies hit and marking them with spirit energy. Recast: End the curse, drawing back the spirit energy to herself, dealing magic dealing to enemies passed through.
	W - Across the Veil Hop in a direction. Upon landing, enter the spirit realm, becoming Invisible and entering Spirit Mode for several seconds. Takedowns on enemy champions reset the cooldown of this ability.
	E - The Weirding Send out a blast of spirit magic dealing magic damage in an area and slowing them. Aurora will hop backwards slightly on cast.
	R - Between Worlds Send out a pulse of spirit energy that deals magic damage and slows enemies. The area merges with the spirit realm, granting Aurora an empowered spirit mode, and allowing her to travel from one end of the area to the other. Enemies who try to cross the threshold will take magic damage, be slowed, and be pushed back toward the center of the area.
