Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a faithful remake of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, originally released in 2013. Rebuilt from the ground up and powered by the latest Anvil engine, the game features updated visuals and enriched gameplay, including parry‑driven combat, improved stealth and parkour, deeper naval mechanics, and new narrative content.

Set during the Golden Age of Piracy, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced invites players to sail the Caribbean as Edward Kenway, a rebellious pirate captain drawn into the centuries-old conflict between Assassins and Templars. As Edward pursues glory and fortune, he crosses paths with legendary figures such as Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, and Calico Jack, while the fate of everything the pirates have built hangs in balance.

Ubisoft also confirmed that GRAMMY‑nominated artist Woodkid is returning to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, collaborating on a reimagined track to be revealed later this year.

Ubisoft and Unsolved Hunts unveiled Gold & Crystal – The Lost Treasure of Edward Kenway, a treasure hunt. 

To celebrate the release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft has partnered with French startup Unsolved Hunts, Europe’s leading treasure hunt specialist, to create a worldwide treasure hunt. Players will have the opportunity to win a $500,000 treasure hidden in the Caribbean. 

To embark on this immersive adventure set in the golden age of piracy, players can already pre-order their access to the hunt starting from $40.00 on the official website goldandcrystal.com. The hunt will officially begin on November 9, 2026.

Gold & Crystal combines several elements that must be deciphered: a crypted message in a bottle, a map of the Caribbean, and a collection of letters and archives containing 15 puzzles, packed with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced references. The puzzles are entirely remote and can be solved from anywhere in the world, without prior knowledge of the game. Cracking them will lead to the location of a chest, buried somewhere in the Caribbean. This hunt is designed to last between two and five years. 

The first player to find the location will get to go to the Caribbean to unearth the chest and win a treasure valued at $500,000. The prize includes an authentic pirate treasure: a crystal skull - replica of the famous skull from the game – crafted by French lapidary artisan Hervé Obligi, and a chest filled with gold coins, minted with the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced logo, thanks to the expertise of AuCOFFRE, a company, expert in  precious metals trading.

Additionally, fans pre-ordering Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will receive Blackbeard's Crimson Pack, which includes an exclusive costume for Edward Kenway, a pair of swords, and a set of pistols. The Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions were announced as well.
