15. 'Warhammer 40,000: Darktide' (XSX/PC)

Warhammer 40,000: DarktideĀ is a four-player co-op game set in the 41st Millennium, taking you deep into the hive city and facing hordes of enemies you have only seen in your nightmares.

Chris Barnes: Vermintide has been a longtime favorite between my friends and me over drinks on a Friday night, but now, instead of rats, there are Poxwalkers, and instead of swords, there are massive Lasguns.

There's only one way to express my hype for this game to other fellow Warhammer fans: Waaagh!!!

Lauren "Feffy" Hall: Shooters are always pretty hit and miss (pun intended,) but when you have a franchise like Warhammer to lean on, the pressure is on to put out a good game. Warhammer 40K: Darktide appears to play in a similar style to some of the developer's other successful games and embodies the monster-hunting feel of Vermintide, its predecessor. While I'm a gamer who plays shooters rather sparingly, the Warhammer franchise has always put out games that appeal to me, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this one measures up.

Rhi "StormyDawn" Mitera: I love the Vermintide games, and I was so excited to hear that they're making a 40K variation on it. I was even more excited to hear that we aren't going to be confined to playing as Space Marines. I can't wait to grab my lasgun and wade through the Chaos with three of my closest friends.

Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: Oh man, I played the hell out of Vermintide and its sequel. While I loved the gameplay, I've always been more a fan of the 40K side of Warhammer rather than the fantasy. When Darktide was announced, from the same developers of Vermintide no less, it was the closest thing that I have seen so far that made me go, "Shut up and take my money!" That you play as the more-vulnerable Imperial Guard rather than Space Marines is a brilliant choice, and I cannot contain my enthusiasm about this game.
