Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is the sequel to Ninja Theory's action game, Hellblade.

Redmond Carolipio: The original Hellblade was possibly my favorite game of 2017 and still stands as one of the most impactful gaming experiences I've played. In a short, feral burst of dark creativity built around the perception of mental illness, Hellblade entrenched Ninja Theory as one of your favorite game designers. Now they get next-gen, big-boy pants support, which allows them to fully unleash Senua's world around us. Can't wait.

Chris "Atom" DeAngelus: The original Hellblade really defined Ninja Theory. A haunting and enticing title that combined mythology and realism and made incredibly creative use of its setting, Hellblade was one of the best games of 2017. The upcoming sequel brings us back into the world of Senua, and it looks as brutal and grim as ever. The visuals look breathtaking, and it's clear Ninja Theory knows what worked about the first game and intends to keep to it. As long as Hellblade II is as good as the first, it'll be one of the most-play games of 2021, too.

Cody Medellin: We never thought that Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice would get a sequel, especially since the first game wrapped up the tale so well. The first and last time we heard about this game was when the Xbox Series X was formally introduced two years ago, and while Ninja Theory has dabbled in a few other titles since the original, this is its real flagship title. We'd love to hear more about this one just to see where it's going, and we'd also love to see this get a release date for sometime this year.

Andreas Salmen: I don't even know if I need to justify this entry at all. After a truly remarkable first game both visually and in terms of content, Hellblade II has a lot to live up to. I'm not even sure what to expect, and I'd love to get thrown a curveball with the sequel going into a completely different gameplay direction. That said, apart from an impressive cinematic trailer there is not much to go on, except the trust that whatever Hellblade II turns out to be, it'll likely be a memorable experience.
