Cody Medellin: The original game, released back in the PS3/Xbox 360 era, was very good at incorporating the hardcore ethos of the series with equally adept interpretation of the God of War style of fast, brutal action. This looks to be much more of the same with a really pretty presentation, but no one is going to complain about that when we've been waiting two console generations for this to return.
Andreas Salmen: While I'm no Warhammer fanboy, I enjoy their games, especially Vermintide and Darktide. It's my only connection to the franchise, but it's strong enough to be excited about the Space Marine sequel. Brutal, story-driven combat? Check! Full online co-op for three friends? Check! Now, all it has to do is play great, and my Warhammer Online game sessions will be alive and well throughout 2024.
Rainier Van Autrijve: The Warhammer universe is massive, brutal and visceral. It's rife with lore that is tailor-made for games, but most of the titles focus on strategy, whether real-time or turn-based. Having a new shooter (Boltgun was fun but more of a retro Wolfenstein-style FPS) where you can witness the gory devastation in third-person perspective is going to be glorious. It's been a decade since the original WH40K: Space Marine, so it's about time for a trip into the 42nd millennium. Having Clive Standen ("Vikings," "Taken") voicing the iconic Captain Titus is just the cherry on top. For the emperor!
