Nintendo Ramps Up Production, Promises More Wii Consoles This Holiday Season

With the holidays approaching, the hunt for the perfect gift begins anew, and ever since its launch, the Wii has been a hard-sought, and even harder to find, item. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime recently told the L.A. Times that production is going full speed ahead. It currently has 33% more Wiis rolling off the belt than a year ago, and it will further ramp up production to 50% more units than the 2007 holiday season.

THQ Sues Activision Over Too-Similar Baja Box Art

Last week THQ filed a lawsuit with the US District Court of Central California against Activision, claiming the upcoming SCORE International Baja 1000 box cover is too similar to its own BAJA title released last month. Both boxes show similar vehicles in almost identical positions, and although THQ contacted Activision to settle things out of court, they refused to make any changes, hence the lawsuit (thanks Patent Arcade).
