Empire Interactive announced it is restructuring in order to maximize efficiencies within the company and expects to reduce its active headcount by 30%. This will be achieved primarily through the sale or disposition of its internal development studio, Razorworks, which it acquired in 2000, although no IPs or projects will be canceled.

SCEA has released the v2.40 PS3 system software update, adding XMB access in-game which enables PS3 users to connect and communicate with other gamers seamlessly while playing games, as well as giving PS3 users the ability to earn Trophies and tout their accomplishments & skills via profiles, and compare them to other members of the community. Super Stardust HD is the first game to add trophies with its v4.00 update, also released today.

'Chrono Trigger' Coming to NDS?

The latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Jump has got the Chrono Trigger fans all excited showing off a screenshot of the old 2D game, listing it as coming to the NDS, scheduled for release in Japan this coming winter. Speculations are further fueled by a teaser page on Square Enix's website showing off the series' iconic clock image accompanied by an NDS logo. Chrono Trigger made its debut on the SNES mid 90's, with a PSOne port in 1999, and a year later the Chrono Cross sequel.

TF2 is a class-based, multiplayer team warfare game, delivering new game types, a signature art style powered by Valve’s next-gen animation technology, persistent player statistics, etc... Valve's next update will revolve around the Heavy class, with unlockable weapons and achievements. While details are slim, TF2 director Robin Walker said the aim was to improve the Heavy without encroaching on another class's role, especially the Heavy/Medic combo.
