Citing Hollywood executives, the
LA Times claims that Sony has been in licensing talks with movie/tv studios the past few weeks in order to launch an online video service through its PS3 game console, as early as this summer. While Sony of course did not comment on the matter, SCEA's senior vice president of marketing Peter Dille said "we'll be offering a video service for PS3 in a way that separates the service from others you've seen or used." The service will have to compete with Microsoft's Xbox Live which currently offers 350 movies and more than 5,000 episodes of TV shows.

trademork, Jordan Mechner has locked in the next installment in the Sands of Time trilogy, as he also owns The Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones. Maybe we'll get more details at UbiDays or E3.

Double Helix, previously known as The Collective before
it merged with Shiny, is currently working on Silent Hill: Homecoming, which raised the question, what happened to its previous project Harker? Foundation 9 clarified that question today when it confirmed the action game inspired by the classic horror novel Dracula was put on ice as the dev team is now working on SH5. Whether or not the game will be revived after the newest title in Konami's horror franchise wraps up, is uncertain at this point.
