MGS4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a war-torn future where huge conglomerates, including those in the Middle East and South America, fight for supremacy using armies of hand-picked mercenaries. In the latest Kojima Productions podcast, producer Ryan Payton revealed that the English voiceovers did not fit on the Japanese Blu-ray disc and that some material had to be compressed in order to fit on the 50GB disc. This was later confirmed in a Famitsu interview with Hideo Kojima.

THQ Creative Director Michael Fitch puts the blame for the closure of Titan Quest developer Iron Lore, and the demise of PC gaming, on several factors: hardware compatibility and software conflicts making PC gaming a nightmare, but most of all "Titan Quest did okay. The latest EGM issue reveals the next project from Halo powerhouse Bungie, LEGO Halo. As the dev. team was impressed with LEGO Star Wars they decided that after wrapping up their trilogy a spin-off was the best way to go. While the game still revolves around Master Chief, other known characters such as Cortana, the Arbiter, and Avery J Johnson will make an appearance, as well as new ones. LEGO Halo will be 90-10% 3rd/1st person view, chronicle all 3 titles, and is scheduled for fall 2008.
