Noticed on 
Starfleet Universe that the developer of the Starfleet Command series, Taldren, has shut down. Taldren was working on a new Xbox/PC title for publisher Majesco, which got delayed a few months back, but with the demise of the developer, that project seems to have gone under completely. An incarnation of Taldren will survive in South Korea as Taldren's CEO Erik Bethke has already struck roots in Korea and is forging plans to develop a myth-themed MMORPG.

Atari, Inc. today announced that it has shipped 2.5 million units of its highly anticipated DRIV3R to retails outlets worldwide (that doesnt mean they actually "sold" that many though ed.). Since DRIV3R hit store shelves on June 21 in the U.S. and June 22 in Europe and Australia, consumer demand has been extremely strong.

Tecmo and Xbox Live announced today their plan to expand the Ninja Gaiden playing experience with additional downloadable content which will be available in the beginning of August via Xbox Live. The evolved version will contain a wide array of additions including new camera and action engines that will improve upon the already superior game engine, new challenging enemies, new costumes, an arsenal of new weapons, and more.

The action-RTS PC game entitled King Arthur: Pendragon Cronicles takes us back to the heroic epic of the founder King Arthur, whose figure is lost in the mist of time. The choice of topic was inspired by the King Arthur film produced by Jerry Buckheimer coming out soon. The game is created in European cooperation (using GarageGames' Torque Engine), the game design is provided by Game Consulting, while the artistic and programming part is done by a group of professionals of veteran developers of Spore Games.
