Xbox.com: A little bit of your background: What is your position at Bungie?

Marty O'Donnell: I'm audio director for Bungie Studios at Microsoft, which means I oversee everything that has to do with sound and music on all Bungie products. About Kreed : 'Leaked' Alpha-Technology Demo

Russian gamedeveloper Burut reports that the recent Kreed: Alpha-technology demo was leaked. Here is the report from Burut:

Today on the Net appeared information that Kreed demo-version was released. We, as the team of developers, want to tell you, that this demo became available for public download only because of the leak. Firstly this Alpha-technology demo was publisher-only. This demo has some bugs with collisions and optimized only for GF3 cards. In FINAL KREED will be much more features and other stuff. You'll see it in public demo, which will be release in the end of summer and will work on every 5th and 6th gen. cards.

Yesterday we tossed up the news about Westwood was working on a patch for Command & Conquer Renegade, and now it´s out! This patch updates the C&C Renegade demo to version 1.06, fixing some networking issues and making it easier for you to tweak your network settings. Grab this 446.7 KB patch from FilePlanet or from our ftp HERE.

Important: If you get a "connection refused" error after installing this patch, it means you're trying to connect to a server that's still running the old version of the demo. Try another.

No HomeStation For XBox

Microsoft Corp. denied it is building the "HomeStation'', a rumored living room entertainment hub industry watchers have speculated could combine the software giant's Xbox video game console with digital video, music and Internet functions. HomeStation rumors were sparked last September by a report in PC Format magazine that such a device would cross the Xbox with a PC and boast a bigger hard drive, audio and video technology and a wireless connection.

C&C: Renegade MP Demo Patch

Dan Cermak from Westwood tossed up some news in the official forums for the FPS, C&C: Renegade, regarding the release of the patch that will hopefully solve the lag problems. Here is a snip from his posting;

We worked late into the night to get this corrected and expect to have a new demo and a patch up today. Be assured that the problem is not in the network code or in the game, we simply did not set enough limits in reqards to who could host the game. I apologize for any problems or issues this may have caused.
