Bloody Roar to US GameCube

Activision today confirmed that it has secured the North American publishing rights to Bloody Roar for the GameCube. For its North American release, the game, titled Bloody Roar Extreme in Japan, will be renamed to Bloody Roar: Primal Fury. The game will have five single-player modes and two two-player head-to-head modes. Release is set to Spring 2002.

The Free Form Mode mod, by Particle Systems, lets you to continue where the game ended, with all your cargo, ships, systems, and trades as they were at the end of the game. It also adds the ability to manually jump between the two clusters, and gives you trades for some advanced weaponry, so you can explore and pirate as you wish, and get any items you may have missed while playing through the game. Nintendo ship more GameCubes to US

Kyoto, Japan Ð Nintendo, the second-largest video-game console maker, said it will ship more GameCube consoles than planned to meet demand in the US. Kyoto-based Nintendo, which expected to sell four million GameCube consoles by March, will send "several hundred thousand more," spokesman Yasuhiro Minagawa said. Nintendo will ship 4.5 million consoles, the Nihon Keizai newspaper said on Sunday.

Midgard on Hold
