Conflict: Desert Storm (PS2) Candy

A few days back we tossed up some screens and artwork from Conflict: Desert Storm, now TTG tossed up a bunch of new screens from this upcoming title.

Some facts: Based around the events of the Gulf War, Conflict: Desert Storm places you in the midst of real war environments. Highly covert missions take you through hostile environments where only your expertise in stealth, tactics and firepower will ensure success and the safety of your men. Your missions are as unpredictable as they are dangerous; from defending to attacking, you will need to be adept at all aspects of combat. Your assignments will take you from Al Khafji, where you will need to defend the town and slow the advance of the Iraqi invasion, to deep desert on vital scud-hunting missions, right up to Baghdad itself, on highly secretive rescue and assassination operations.

Urban Terror 2.4

Command & Conquer Renegade Demo Soon

Westwood let us know that a multiplayer demo of Command & Conquer Renegade will be available to grab next Friday, February 15. The demo includes a single multiplayer map and will allow full access to all 28 characters, 23 weapons, and 11 vehicles available in the team-based C&C Mode.

UbiSoft Announces 'Settlers 4' GOLD Edition

Ubisoft let us know that end of March we can expect the GOLD edition of Settlers IV. For the first time all parts of Settlers IV will be added in one package deal. And not only that. The Gold edition will include : Settlers IV, Mission Pack, the Addon "The Trojans and the Elixir of Power", the 2 minigames 'Smack a Thief' and 'Dark Side' as well as several dozen new multiplayer maps. The cd will also contain new Wallpapers and skins for WinAmp and ICQ.

Today Todd Howard decided to graciously fire off a barrage of brand new gameplay screenshots taken on a GeForce4 system. These new images highlight the efforts being taken to make the water effects look as realistic as possible – and believe me, they are simply amazing. Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe

Lonely Cats Games is in a phase of finishing five-month work on Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe. This game is a remake of successful Hidden and Dangerous, combined with H&D: Fight For Freedom. Featuring 32 missions, game is being adapted to run on platforms, which weren’t present at time of its original release. This includes Windows 2000 and Windows XP, using new features of DirectX 8.1. The game now utilizes new generation of graphics hardware with improved Insanity3D engine, taking advantage of hardware vertex processing of modern 3D cards. Updated compatibility, bug fixes and speed-up, together with added support for Voice chat and GameSpy matchmaking service, dynamic shadows, and other improvements should attract player’s attention again.

CDV signed a deal with Japanese distributor ZOO regarding the add-on Cossacks: The Art of War. After ZOO already localised and distributed the major real time strategy titles Cossacks: European Wars, Sudden Strike and Sudden Strike Forever, the company will now ensure that Japanese gamers can also enjoy the Cossacks add-on.
