In less than two years since its Nov. 21, 2004 launch, Nintendo has sold more than 21 million NDS systems worldwide, which equates to 23 systems per minute, one every two seconds, non-stop since launch. By comparison, Apple shipped one million of its ever- popular iPod music players in its first 19 months.

AMD And ATI Officially Announce Merger Plans

After weeks of speculations, AMD and ATI announced a plan to join forces in a US $5.4 billion transaction, combining AMD’s technology in microprocessors with ATI’s strengths in graphics. The merge is expected to close in Q4 2006 subject to approval by ATI shareholders, court approval, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

While there hasnt been an official announcement yet, Jeanne d'Arc is an all-new RPG in development at Level-5's for the PSP. Set during the 100 Year War between France and England, the game is based on the French heroin Jeanne d'Arc, mixed with spells, monsters and other oddities such as Burning Site and Connection Guard attack moves.

Master Chief Gets Monthly 'Halo Ongoing' Comic

During last weekends Comic-Con, Marvel and Bungie announced that apart from the 128 page Halo Graphic Novel, it would also release a monthly new comic book based on the Halo franchise. Halo Ongoing is scheduled for later this year, although details such as writers, and plot line were not revealed.
