"Horizons" takes place within the world of Istaria -- filled with cities and towns, castles and strongholds, villages and mystical structures, in environments ranging from tropical jungle and arctic tundra to windswept plains and mountainous wilderness. Whether adventuring by themselves or questing with a group of friends, players are free to choose their own path and encouraged to create their own stories. Fierce warriors, arcane spell casters and challenging combat will rule the frontier lands, but skilled craftspeople will play an absolutely critical role in overall character and world development. 'Mistmare' - Updated Demo & Patch Available NOW

Yesterday we had an updated Mistmare demo and now Arxel Tribe & Sinister Systems have released an update to bring the alternate-history adventure/RPG demo to v1.301 (thanks Bluesnews). They describe this as the "First version of the demo with improved keyboard controls" after yesterday's version (story) that added those now-improved controls. There's also a new version of the full demo for download, along with word to expect more updates going forward: "The movability is much better, you may (experience) some problems in Greece. We are still working on (path finding) files, so more (improvements) still to come." Read more for download links ..

Sega Europe Ltd, today confirmed that it is in the process of instigating its own publishing operation to bring to market videogames for all viable gaming platforms. Sega Europe will be building up areas to look after all elements of sales, marketing and PR, to join its pre-existing development infrastructure, with the aim of maximising the sales potential of its popular gaming brands across all PAL-based territories. Previously, Sega Europe had a number of agreements with third-party publishers to bring SEGA-developed titles to market across these territories.
