Bethesda Softworks today announced that it has begun manufacturing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year (GotY) edition for the Xbox and expects the title to be in stores early next week. The Morrowind GotY includes the original Morrowind, along with content from the two Morrowind expansions: Tribunal and Bloodmoon. This new product will allow gamers to continue their existing games of Morrowind and experience the new quests and areas offered by the expansions.

EA has released the latest patch for Battlefield 1942. This upgrade brings your retail game to v1.5 and adresses a slew of fixes such as the cd swap issue a lot of people were complaining about, and several additions (including the Invasion of the Philippines conquest map). Encore today announced that it has begun shipping Redline: Xtreme Air Racing 2, an ultra-realistic flight simulation racing game. Retailing for approximately $30, the PC game will be on store shelves this week.

Atari and Epic Games announced today that the release date for Unreal Tournament 2004, the highly anticipated follow-up to last year's smash Unreal Tournament 2003, has been moved to February 2004. The game was previously slated for release during the 2003 Holiday season.

Ubisoft announced that it is has signed an exclusive agreement with Sony Online Entertainment to publish PlanetSide: Core Combat, the first expansion for the popular massively multiplayer online first-person action game, PlanetSide. PlanetSide has already attracted more than 60,000 subscribers worldwide. The expansion will focus on alien technology discovered deep in underground caverns, adding more vehicles, weapons and battlegrounds under the planet Auraxis. Activision, Inc. announced today that Snoop Dogg, the "Dogg Father" of hip-hop, is an unlockable, playable character in the company's upcoming True Crime: Streets of L.A. videogame. When players unlock his character in "Dogg Patrol" mode they can play as Snoop and roll through the streets in a custom convertible, complete with hydraulics, while looking for random crimes to solve and criminals to take down.
