'Home' (PS3) to Get Content Update This Week

The 'Home' 3D online user community service enables users to create their own avatar and explore a real-time virtual community, as if they are playing a detailed 3D game. SCEA is finally adding the Red Bull space in Home, so you’ll be able to get inside the cockpit of a Red Bull Air Race plane and compete against other fliers on the Red Bull Air Race course. Fans who pre-order Killzone 2 through Amazon will get an exclusive costume to dress up their avatar as ISA Soldier, a Helghast Assault Trooper, or something in between. SCEA is also adding Resident Evil: Degeneration-themed T-shirts for all fans of the movie.

Watermelon's Pier Solar will be the very first all-new game to appear on the Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis this millennium. The game is neither a port nor a translation and has not ripped content from any other game whatsoever. The developer revealed that once completed, it will look into bringing its RPG game to Xbox Live Arcade through Microsoft's XNA development toolset.

'Gears of War 2' (X360) Gets Flashback Map Pack

Gears of War 2 picks up six months after the events of the original, thrusting players back into humankind's epic battle for survival against a nightmarish force of underground creatures known as the Locust Horde. Epic is now offering the Flashback map pack (includes five popular Gears of War maps) on XBL for 400 Microsoft Points ($5), so 2nd hand buyers can now also enjoy it.

Based on the Aliens movie, Aliens: Colonial Marines, developed by Gearbox Software, is a squad-based first-person shooter where players are part of a United States Colonial Marine squad and must prepare to face an Aliens assault more intense and horrific than ever before. Originally scheduled for late 2008, SEGA confirmed that the game is currently slated for somewhere between April and June 2009.
