Epic's Art Director Signs on to Make Thundercats Movie

Epic's Gears of War and UT3 art director Jerry O'Flaherty has signed on to direct Warner Bros.' CG-animated "Thundercats" feature, based on the popular '80s cartoon series. O'Flaherty and Paul Sopocy will work on the script, while Paula Weinstein, Dick Robertson and Lew Korman will direct. Thundercats revolves around a group of humanoid cats who must flee the destroyed planet of Thundera. After crash-landing on another planet, Third Earth, they must thwart Mumm-Ra, an evil sorcerer bent on killing them off.
